point2explore Touch Screen Kiosk and Game Technology Puts Visitors In Touch with Information at Museums Across America.
12 September, 2011 - FAIRFIELD, NJ
— Chris Meyer, President of C.D. Meyer, the 20 year-old award-winning multimedia design firm based in Fairfield, New Jersey, announced today that the company will provide an interactive point2explore touch screen kiosk at its 100th museum client. The latest installation at the American Museum of Science and Energy in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, joins an impressive and varied list of museums and corporate, government and institutional facilities across the United States, Canada and Australia.
The newest installation is a Yosemite tree stump kiosk with an upgraded 17- inch touch screen monitor. C.D. Meyer's product line includes customizable kiosk software as well as floor standing kiosk units and panelPCs that can be seen at
which also provides information about educational kiosks, museum exhibits, touch screen games, desktop kiosks and an "all-in-one" computer/touch screen units.
"Our success is a result of offering a line of touch screen kiosk software products that are affordable, attractive, and durable," stated Meyer. "Our software is entertaining, educational and reliable and our kiosks are ADA compliant and easy to set up and maintain. We provide interactive software that runs on standard platforms such as a computer PC running WindowsTM or other economical systems. Our experience with touch screen technology is extensive, and we highly recommend it in a public exhibit kiosk over the traditional mouse and keyboard which are more susceptible to malicious acts."
C.D. Meyer installations span the continent from The Hofstra University Museum in Hempstead, New York and The Children's Science Explorium in Boca Raton, Florida to The National Archives in Kansas City, Missouri and The California Department of Water Resources in Sacramento, California. They provide information to visitors in the form of timelines, quizzes, "drag and drop" interactive games, match games, interactive newsrooms, wayfinder guides, and geography, history, science and music games and facts.
